A packed 24 hours
After walking through Keflavik international airport and by security guards, we boarded our Icelandair airplane. Inside awaited a surprise to me. Small iPad type gadgets were in front of every seat, each one offered a few movies to watch, or coloring books to pass the time, or a chart of the progress of the flight to follow. After being disappointed at finding out there were no games, I read The Return to Finkleton, and ate a snack compliments of the airline. Landing in Heathrow International Airport hurt my ears because of the sudden change of altitude. It was sort of funny, you had to walk through what felt like miles of passage ways till you could get your passport stamped. Waiting and looking for our car was no fun. I was glad I had dressed warmly on the plane. After getting our car, we drove to Jordan's Hostel. Getting unpacked, we went to bed.
I was still tired when Dad woke me up. We started to drive toward Fishguard where our ferry set sail. On the way we stopped at Moto for breakfast. Getting back into the car and finding out we spent half an hour there, we were late. We hit the road, fast. Driving there we figure we might have a speeding ticket. (Europe has cameras, not patrolling police. I think it a much more effective way to nab speeders) We got to Fishguard with 15 minutes to spare but then used too much time on lunch and got to the dock just 4 minutes before the deadline. On the boat ride we played games on the kindles and the 3 hours passed quickly.
