Henri Willig Cheese

Tuesday, November 3, we went to Henri Willig Cheese Farm. It was fun. When we got there, Mom parked the car and we got out of the car. First we went to the office and a lady led us to the place for a cheese demonstration, there was a shop room beside it and we went into that until the demonstration was to begin. In that room there was cheese, of course! And little souvenir clogs, cheese slicers, and things like that, we were the only ones there. When we were finished looking, we went to yet another room. There were people in this room! A lady there said she would do the demonstration. The lady showed us pictures and talked about the cheese.

After the simple demonstration we went back to the cheeses room, we tasted lots of cheese. There was young goat cheese, sheep cheese, and cow cheese, smoked cow, smoked sheep, and smoked goat cheese. Herbs and garlic cheese, Gouda cheese, Lavender cheese, herbs and garlic cow cheese, old cow cheese, old sheep cheese, old goat cheese, etc. Young cheese is 1 to 5 months old. Mid-aged cheese is 6 to 12 months old, and old cheese is up to 2 years old (some a little older). Before leaving we bought some Smoked Goat cheese, It was so good! Betsy barely had time to take a picture of it!
